One of the first, I have used the hinge-action guns of Mr. Lefaucheux: they have several advantages over the break-action ones, such as being loaded more easily and quickly, not spitting at all since the use of new cartridges; they also have the merit of being lighter. One can, without the slightest inconvenience in moving the hinge, fire sixty to eighty shots in a hunt; finally, since I have been using these guns, I am still unable to point out any drawback.
